Who We Are

For more than 170 years, Lutheran education has been helping young people flourish through learning grounded in faith, purpose, and care.

This commitment began with the early Lutheran communities who placed education at the heart of community life and continues today across Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania. Alongside strong academic foundations, Lutheran schools and early childhood services nurture the whole child, supporting their intellectual, emotional, physical, social and spiritual growth.

Today, LEVNT supports 18 Lutheran schools and 5 early childhood services, working alongside learning communities to strengthen Lutheran identity, foster excellence in education, and prepare young people for a rapidly changing world.

While we honour the rich heritage of our schools, we are firmly focused on the future. Through collaboration, shared vision and responsive support, we empower our communities to nurture every child's God-given potential and create places where learning, leadership and faith flourish together.

At LEVNT, we are committed to empowering our learning communities through collaboration, shared vision, and meaningful support.

As the regional office for Lutheran schools and early childhood services across Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania, we work alongside leaders, educators and staff to strengthen professional practice, deepen Lutheran identity, and help every child flourish.

As part of the broader Lutheran Education Australia (LEA) network, our communities benefit from access to a rich range of nationally recognised professional learning, leadership development, accreditation and formation opportunities. This connection enables staff at every stage of their career to learn alongside colleagues from Lutheran education settings across Australia, share expertise, and grow in their vocation and leadership.

From accreditation and faith formation programs to leadership development, governance training and specialist learning opportunities, LEA's professional learning pathways equip educators and leaders with the knowledge, skills and confidence to thrive in their roles while strengthening the mission and impact of Lutheran education.

LEVNT Governance

Lutheran Education VIC, NSW, TAS and ACT Ltd (LEVNT) is an incorporated charity and company limited by guarantee.

Its sole Member is the Lutheran Church of Australia Victorian District (LCAVD). This structure provides clear civil governance while maintaining unity in Lutheran ministry and mission. LEVNT is governed by a board of directors and works alongside Educational Bodies to support strong governance, faithful Christian education, and compliance with Church, legal, financial, educational and operational requirements. Its relationship with each Educational Body reflects that body’s individual governance structure, including whether it is affiliated with, or operated by, LEVNT.  Make a difference in Lutheran Education.
